We have a fine range of standard closed cell sponge rubber gasket seals – an approach which never seems to go out of fashion for use on enclosure and cabinet doors as well as for visual inspection panels and so forth.  These non-stretch sections of closed cell neoprene and EPDM are non stretch by virtue of their self – adhesive backing. Sizes are available from 10×3 mm up to 20×5 mm in coil format for easy handling and storage in assembly areas.

Skin finished foam strip for use with separate adhesive is also available.

We have recently announced the new Dirak Hinged Recessed Handle intended for use in special applications such as the construction of specialist road and rail vehicles, e.g. on storage lockers and access panels where its vibration proof construction guards against nuisance opening. It is especially suited to these applications because it offers a very low profile with fully recessed oval handle which is self-returning to its recessed position after use.

This spring return feature ensures that the handle does not protrude and so eliminates the risk of persons or clothing being caught on the handle. The use of high accuracy zinc die casting ensures very close joins which also prevent the build-up of dirt.

Recessed handles are available from the FDB Online Store for urgent delivery in chrome or black finish with or without a standard 8mm square insert lock as an integrated safety measure.

The Snap-line system shown here includes a selection of joiners, hinges, and locks which are available at our Online store to produce a tool-less snap together unit with no mounting hardware required – other items are available by contacting our sales team.

Swinghandles are a mainstay of the specialist enclosure industry for their ease of use and neat presentation – we have them in stock in Polyamide, zinc die, and stainless steel – zinc die versions are with black or chrome. Protection degree depends on fitting since the very quickly fitted hook design is ideal for many indoor applications – whereas IP65 types may be exactly what is needed for more arduous situations. Generally swinghandles present very small appertures for abuse with tools like a screwdriver but we do also have a low profile stainless varient specifically designed to resist vandal like abuse.

We are pleased to offer a range of spring hinges in stainless steel and aluminium – ex-stock from the Online store to suit customer hardware needs in most industrial, retail or office environments. They are excellent for use with heavy lids or doors where a measure of counterbalancing is needed to assist the user – many may be specified with either opening or closing spring operation.

Budget level Spanner locks from our FDB Online store are so named because they use a spanner-like key to operate the quarter turn latching mechanism. These “spanner” inserts are now stocked in three common formats – square, triangular and double barb for use in all types of industrial and office use for cabinets, enclosures, lockers, access flaps, panels, desks and similar.

Spanner locks to IP65 are offered ex-stock from our Online store in 3mm,5mm,7mm and 8mm sizes to signify the size of the central pin in each case. Bodies are zinc die with chrome or black finish and cams are flat as standard but may be varied on request.

Bridge style handles are also known as D handles, Bow handles or Pull handles and are used for cabinets, sliding panels and equipment lifting. They are used extensively on kitchen equipment, guards and furniture in catering, building construction, medical/pharmaceutical environments as well as telecom, textiles, workshop and office/domestic applications.
