We are delighted to have recently launched a new DIRAK stainless steel hinge which offers increased protection against unauthorised access due to its specific design and construction. This especially robust 180° hinge with interlocking leaves features welded-in-place, non-removable hinge pins and welded mounting studs which are not accessible from the outside of the cabinet – so providing greater security when used in outdoor/public areas, e.g. for communications or public services.
The surface mounting style of these hinges ensures they are suitable for nested doors in side-by-side situations. They are available in sizes of 40×42, 50×50 and 60×63 mm with polished finish.
We are pleased to offer a bespoke panel packaging service to suit individual applications of power distribution and earthline protection systems based on the same technology as our standard FDB2, FDB 11, FDB 13, FDB 21 and FDB 27 (military) ex-stock panels.
These indoor/outdoor equipment panels are supplied in steel, GRP or stainless steel to suit harsh environments above and below ground and are available in a variety of finishes.

Our Online store offers a good selection of bridge/grab/bow handles for drawers and doors in industrial and office environments – even for use with a gloved hand as they come in sizes from 150mm to 220mm and in polyamide, chrome finished steel and in stainless steel for urgent ex-stock delivery. As leading industrial earth monitoring and electrical power protection specialists, we are pleased to offer our range of RCD’s and RCBO’s for personnel or plant protection, Earth Continuity Monitors, together with a range of ancillary devices supplied separately as panel mounting components, or pre-assembled within steel, stainless steel or GRP enclosures, complete with socket outlets or terminals as required.
The FDB11 series incorporates DC immune RCBO protection for specialist railway installations – and there are many other variants or custom specifications for other industrial situations to meet customer’s needs. Not only does the FDB11 series meet new build installation requirements but the range continues to meet the needs of upgrade projects and refurbishments where earlier generations of this series were installed many years ago and need to be extended or replaced.
On the military side the FDB27/M: RCD Protection unit is designed for Communications Vehicles in accordance with MOD specifications, with six standard variants according to voltage/current rating required and with the possibility for custom specification where required.
Because of their robust electronics and mechanical assembly, the FDB27 series is also suited to other outdoor installations where reliable RCD protected power is needed in arduous environments.
These compression latches from our sales partner DIRAK often find their application in what may be considered “special” niche situations such as rail or road vehicles, food processing plant and similar, where they provide security and rugged operation.
Compression latches are by design especially vibration resistant to nuisance opening and so are applicable to closing of doors and drawers where a rough ride is expected, or where security from vibration is a paramount consideration, as in many road or rail applications.
The compression feature of these latches also confers a very high degree of sealing with IP67 being achievable in many cases if required. The actual gasket compression is generally in the order of 6mm, which aids full gasket pull-down and full sealing which is often required in wash-down areas of food processing or in pharmaceutical manufacturing areas.
DIRAK compression latches include many types of quarter turns, plus a roller cam/rod lock system for larger control cabinets, e.g. for lineside rail installations or other challenging areas.
In line with their compression features many of these latches include a cam depth adjustment which permits tailoring of fit between the door and frame during manufacture of the panel or during installation.
For many years the traditional handle for cabinets had an “L” or a “T” configuration but these were often awkward and caught on clothing where there was limited space – such as in control rooms – and then the swinghandle was created and has in many ways become the “new normal”. It’s benefits of non-catching low profile and ergonomic leverage have streamlined specialist cabinet design and the modular approach that came along with it has greatly simplified high quality installations.

We have a wide range of cabinet rod locking systems including rod guides, rod connectors and operating mechanisms for use with cabinet handles such as L and T type as well as quarter turn locks and swinghandles. 
Round rods in steel and stainless steel are available to standard lengths up to 900 mm with blind or roller ends and fixing eye/adapters to fit the latching actuator.

Together with our sales partner DIRAK we have recently introduced an upmarket, rugged, recessed handle with clean design style. The DST handle offers extra-secure retention with IP65 sealing for large manual equipment.
This new handle features tool-less installation with D-Snap technology and deep hand grip. The unusual IP65 sealing means that the DST can be used in outdoor applications.
