Naturally there are self adhesive foam sections and clip on “P” types and hollow insert gasket to fit door channels. Then when you want to put a window into a door or machine we can provide a number of profiles incorporating an insert locking strip for added security.

We have been specialists in industrial electrical protection equipment for a long time now and are able to offer our proven technology in component form to panel builders wishing to configure their own systems. This FDB range includes many panel mount devices and system elements.
For example the FDB EMGUARD earth line monitor range includes 110V, 240V and 440V units – the 110V unit in particular being of interest since this is a rating not commonly offered elsewhere. The EMGUARD series comply with BS4444 and offer 1-20 ohms impedance (adjustable), fully encapsulated and housed in a PA6 enclosure ready for chassis mounting.
Other components include the EFU62 VELEM combined earth fault and earth line monitor and the VEF series variable earth leakage protection relay. The EFU series includes a combined earth fault and earth line monitor and DC earth fault monitor, this compliments the EFR range of universal earth leakage protection relays, along with matching external CTs where required.

These new DIRAK toggle latches offer the novel feature of a slider lock mechanism to prevent accidental opening or nuisance opening caused by excessive vibration. They are typically of value on specialist vehicles for compartment closure or on transit cases where the padlockable variant would also be particularly useful.
These spring wire loop catches with hook plates are in tough AISI 304 stainless steel with slider locks in either stainless or Red ABS for greater visibility.

Here at FDB Electrical we have a wide range of core-balance transformers (CTs) for use in monitoring supply conductors together with with earth leakage relays (ELRs and ELCBs) and MCCBs where the CT provides a warning signal from the incoming cable, giving advance information to the trip device so ensuring greater safety for personnel and equipment.

The use of RCD electrical technology has become commonplace in all areas of building services where the safety and convenience of this type of protection is of great value – but RCDs and their “sister” MCBs often need to be housed in specialist enclosures which provide for the integration of a number of devices in a custom system. Among other places the FDB Panel Fittings range of fasteners find application in shop fitting manufacture, not only quarter-turn locks and swinghandles in checkout islands but also quick-fix/release fasteners around the display section of stores where they may be used to hold price indicators, product cards and special offers. For cupboards and storage space at the checkout rapid keyless access is provided with wing handles, while triangular key or cylinder locks are also typical – for more security digital combination locks may be preferred.
