Within securely protected Data Centres there is a need for low tech’ individual cabinet security, and elsewhere stand-alone Telco and data storage racks need their own individual protective locks.
For these situations our range of panel fittings provide a suitable solution where cylinder locks or digital code locks are considered appropriate. For many applications it will also be required to offer a good degree of vandal resistance for which many swinghandles and concealed hinges from the FDB range meet typical requirements. The Pignose Bung lock quarter-turn is suitable for smaller enclosures and the smooth designs of zinc die and stainless steel swinghandle are excellent for larger cabinets.
Companion fittings for mounting of screws and related equipment include traditional cage nuts and captive 19” fittings to suit standard uprights, also suitable of course to other cabinet widths. Our new IP65 quarter-turn cabinet locking series provides a tool-less, snap-in time saving installation to fit industry standard mounting cut-outs.
The system can be modularly pre-assembled with any of 24 inserts and 70 cams for efficient new production or re-purposing of existing equipment with single or multi-point closure. The elegant design, with long escutcheon format where required, allows unusual cut-outs to be aesthetically concealed with a superior appearance.
The lock and escutcheon are moulded in 30% glass reinforced polyamide which is extremely rugged and durable, as well as halogen-free and flame resistant according to UL 94.

Our range of specialist panel mounting electrical protection items available at our Online shop includes RCDs, Earth Continuity Monitors and special purpose electrical protection devices compliant with with BS4293. These enable panel builders and installation engineers to configure their own electrical protection systems within an application specific enclosure or cabinet providing appropriate environmental protection.
We offer both AC and DC types of panel mounting components to multi-range protection levels including pre-set and user adjustable types. Where appropriate we use solid state circuitry to offer immunity to voltage transients and DC components. The range includes associated core balance transformers in a range of sizes to suit each installation. 
For visual monitoring we have the EFU10/M Panel meter and for testing we have a portable series 6 RCD test set.
We have gasket sealing profiles for enclosure and cabinet sealing also for window sealing and associated accessories for virtually all industrial applications. Flat self adhesive foam is complimented with extruded sections for push in or clip on installation in EPDM, NBR, Neoprene and PVC.
Where electromagnetic compatibility is necessary, we can also supply special profiles with EMC/RFI shielding in combination with water and dust sealing.

New from DIRAK is their ingenious range of IP65 anti-vandal compression latches with profile half cylinder security for high technology equipment. This series provides compression of up to 20mm with easy operation by virtue of the special roller cam design.
Its internal mounting design and robust construction provide anti-vandal protection which is enhanced by the optional external protective lock cover. The concealed mechanism and inconspicuous external appearance with internal stud mounting ensures there are no vulnerable points on the outside of the cabinet, while the surface mounted cover protects against dirt and weather. Additional security on large doors is provided by a full multi-point rod locking system.
We now have a comprehensive portfolio of enclosure and cabinet handles at our Online Store – these include swinghandles in reinforced engineering plastics, zinc diecast and stainless steel – with traditional T handles and L handles and wing knobs.
