The show takes place at its now established home of Farnborough and provides an excellent opportunity for design and production engineers to discuss their needs with the experienced FDB technical sales team.

Our stand will be focused on products such as ¼ turn locks, stainless steel hinges, compression locks, as well as wing and T handles. The specialist Dirak Snapline modular system and vibration proof transport locking will feature, along with special security versions of ¼ turn lock systems.

Our new Giussani pop-out T handles offer specialist panel builders the benefits of security with a traditional T style format now updated to meet modern security and safety concerns, also incorporating radial pin tumbler locks.

The pop-out facility minimises vulnerability to vandalism or spurious opening by recessing the handle within a polyamide housing. This also serves to prevent catching on passing clothes. These pop-out T handles are gasketed against ingress of dust and streams of water for external use if required.

Two sizes are available, the P2P which is 60mm long for enclosures and small cabinets, and the P2GP which is 90mm long for larger doors.

We are very proud of our enclosed protection units – such as the FDB12 industrial RCD/MCB – this range of single phase earth leakage protection units is suitable for 240V ( or 110V) supplies and comprises a choice of high or medium sensitivity RCD’s, featuring solid state electronic circuitry for stability and immunity from spurious tripping, together with a double pole MCB to provide overload and short circuit protection.

The FDB 12 is housed in robust, lockable steel enclosure, sealed against ingress of dust and moisture  to IP65 and is suitable for virtually any industrial application. Options available include fixed time-delay RCD’s (40mSec to 180mSec) for discrimination with other circuits and halogen-free G.R.P. enclosures for harsh or hostile environments.

The EMKA 1036 100mm pin hinges from our specialist enclosure hardware portfolio here at FDB Panel Fittings offer 180° opening for 16mm flanged lay-on doors even with side-by-side enclosure or cabinet mounting. Fixing of these zinc die hinges is very simple with concealed M5 screws while door removal is quick and easy by lift-off from the stainless steel pivot pins.

EMKA 1036 hinges are available in chrome plate or black powder coating to suit the application.

The EMKA 1110 program hinges – now from FDB Panel Fittings – offer 180° opening for inline cabinets with adjacent doors. These quick-fix hinges provide reduced vulnerability to forced opening by virtue of their concealed fixing and smooth slim-line exterior design.

We offer three sizes of the EMKA 1110 series hinges to suit 20mm door returns, 22mm and 25mm returns in 65mm, 50mm and 100mm lengths respectively. Material is black powder coated zinc die.

For storage containers and quick closure of panels we have a range of toggle latches which includes the standard wire loop and plain designs as well as lockable, padlockable and spring loaded types. Spring compensated toggle latches are valuable as vibration resistant closure devices whereby the springs adjust for movement to maintain a constant closure force and resist spurious opening. Adjustable over centre catches permit a range of closure forces to be set as appropriate to the application. The range also includes soft and heavy duty latches.

Our new P5P and sister P5GP Giussani Pop-out T handles offer enhanced security and safety over the traditional T configuration, while retaining the same convenience and integral key tumbler lock system.

The recessed handle minimises vandalism opportunities and its low profile when closed eliminates catching on clothes while enabling sealing against dust and water for outdoor use. The P5P version is 60mm long for use on enclosures, small cabinets or lockers, while the P5GP is 90mm long and is suited to larger control cabinets and storage units.
